The Story:
After a long day of work online, a advertisement caught your eyes. It is a free IQ test.
Tired and bored of work, you clicked on the link, and brought you to a page, requesting for your phone number for verification. Quickly, you entered your phone number and you received a text message, with questions.
You answered and more text came, asking more questions and providing a stupid gauge on your IQ.
The Catch:
Each text message costs RM 2.00 or more depending on the scammer. And to unsubscribe, you might even need to pay up to RM 10.00 for it. Worse still, even if you do not reply to the message, you had already subscribe to the service and will be billed for every message they sent you.
The Shield:
Do not give out your phone number online randomly.
Always read the wordings below. The words might be small, but it will save you tons of money.
