The Story:
Surfing the web, and out of nowhere, a guy start chatting up with you, through a forum or social networking website, like Facebook. He is quite a gentleman and you find him quite charming too. Chatting became a frequent thing between you two, and you think that things are going pretty well between the two of you.
Soon enough, he suggests a meet up. Immediately, you agreed to meet him around your residential area for convenience.
True enough, when you saw him, he is a charmer you always imagined yourself talking to. Upon meeting up, you two fire off like old friends, chatting and laugh away.
The Catch:
After some chatting, he propose to go to somewhere quieter. Seeing that he is a gentleman, you followed him to a secluded area. That's where he turn from a gentleman into a beast and raped you. Sometimes, there are even several guys gang raping you together.
To make matters worse, they also take photos and videos of the rape, to extort you of money and even blackmail for more sex in the future.
The Shield:
Looking for a partner online has been an increasingly common thing. Even in legitimate online dating website, these scammers exist. So, take steps like:
1) Do not meet up with a stranger before knowing him.
2) Always meet in a crowded areas and avoid secluded areas.
3) Meet the guy with another friend to look out for each other.
Be careful of scammers online. Sometimes, the loss is not only financially.
